The Hong Kong - More Places

7. The Promenade
The promenade ni bole nampak pesisiran air Hong Kong.. Victoria Harbour.. tapi the view tak best sangat sebab berkabus..or is it jerebu? and it was too cold sampaikan kami tahap malas nak bergambar sangat..terasa nak letak tangan dalam poket je.. according to wiki, Hong Kong adalah negara yang memiliki paling banyak bangunan pencakar langit (they have the criteria la, brape meters height within brape km square area). apart from the weather, rase sangat indah...best untuk berkasih sayang..hihi..
along the promenade terdapat Avenue of Stars, dimana mereka mempunyai beberapa scultptures of their famous stars..and ade macam Walk of Fame camtu..
.. oh i took pic with my ex boyfriend's star, Andy Lau..lalala..

8. The Symphony of Lights
it was said that this is the largest permanent sound and lights show (in the world?)..one blogger did mention about her frustrations on this lights show..it was said that they involved too many buildings at once and very hard to appreciate..but i kept my optimism with me while waiting for it..but unfortunately, i had to agree with her.. i expected something as smart as lights show at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore (the images that have been advertised is pretty much similar to that)..but seriously the light show didnt impress me at all..firstly because the lights used are not laser lights (which is much more sharp and grand).. secondly because there the canvas is too big... it's like bangunan nyalakan lampu-lampu je..skala skala je ade laser show..hmmm but ok la for an experience..

The Hong Kong - The Places

why do i break the entries apart?
because i'm overwhelmed already just by rethinking the trip
*_*

5. The Star Ferry
selalu kan nampak dalam Hong Kong movies diorang naik ferry? so takkan la i nak melepaskan peluang kan. we boarded the ferry from Central Ferry Pier (walking distance from the Central MTR Station). okeh sangat murah okeh. HK$2.50(~RM1.10) sahaja per trip! tapi no nice pic of us la on the ferry..sapo nak amikkan gamba nyoh?
so naik ferry nak g mane? pergi seberang sane je..pier belah sane name Tsim Sha Tsui (TST).. ramai jugak yang stay this side of Hong Kong bile datang sini sebab banyak jugak hostel and guesthouses kat sini..katanya banyak untuk shopping la..

6. Tsim Sha Tsui
setelah sampai je ke seberang ni perut dah berkeriuk..so kami makan je la dulu..dalam my halal list, i memang dan categorised them according to places.. Tsim Sha Tsui ade a few options untuk halal food, tp i picked the first street i saw on the map, sebab i tak berani nak take risk cari street lain sebab takut tak tahan lapar..  food? food was sangat mahal! tatau la kalau mahal sebab halal food ke ape, tp looks like that's the general rate here. HK$49(~RM21) for a plate of kebab. memang kat malaysia ade makanan harga camtu, tapi kedai eklusif la..ni kedai tepi jalan je. tapi the taste, the kebab superlicious!! satu pinggan tu memang sangat banyak, but we didnt want to share, tamak!

lepas dah kenyang tu kami senang hati je berjalan mengikut kaki kami. berhenti snap few photos here and there, but no specific aim pon. cuma kami aim yang pukul 8pm kene back to the promenade for the Symphony of Lights.
generally kedai-kedai kat street mane pon macam sameee je kat sini. macam walk few minutes within the same block pon akan ade kedai brand same (Sasa,The Body Shop, Bonjour etc). Hong Kong ni the 4th most densely populated in the world, so i guess semua kedai pon akan laku kot..

(guess what, the brown classy building tu adelah shops! sangat grand and exlcusive, tak brani nak masuk..)

The Hong Kong - The Tour

much delayed entry due to the need to be perfect
but of course it'll never be..
WARNING : lots and lots of selfies here..

1. The Flight
as mentioned before, it was an impromptu holiday, we bought the ticket just one week before the trip, so i guess it's not the most economical deal we could get. the flight was at 8.30am..but we reached LCCT waay earlier, so i spent the time waiting with reading and Paih spent the time playing CandyCrush! it was soo relaxing..knowing that you'll be as free as a bird in the next few days...yes we both felt like something lifted up from our shoulder..

2. The Arrival
as usual, arriving at the destination could be so exhilirating..we could not stop 'omaigod omaigod omaigod' (WE means I..hehehe). as expected, the weather was sweater-requiring.. fuuhh nasib baik sejuk..if not, we've wasted unnecessary pre-holiday shoppings! The airport was huge..

3. The Train, The Bus and The Tram et al
if i would say a word for Hong Kong's public transport, it would be PERFECT! at least perfect for our trip. reliable and easy peasy even for newbies like us..and of course NOT EXPENSIVE at all!! we've never need to wait more than 3 minutes for any of them throughout the 3 days stay, seriously!
for anyone going to Hong Kong, Octopus Card isnt a bad idea.. initially i thought i would give them a pass because 3 days je pon....tak perlu la kad mcm touch&go beria-ria kan.. but i'm glad i've searched around and never i found people discouraging the usage of it..
we bought the card at the airport ticketing counter, the minimum is HK$150(~RM65). the value in the card will be HK$100 because HK$50 will be considered as refundable deposit. so dengan card ini kami tidak perlu risau untuk beli ticket train - kene fikir exact station untuk stop and everything kan. we just need to swipe dekat station je, and if we've changed our mind about the stopping station, no worries about the ticket kan.. the card can also be used as various convenience store including their supermarket and 7eleven!

 4. The Hostel
in general, Hong Kong is super expensive city. we read somewhere on the net that our hostel area had the most expensive rental rates in the world, i mean their house and shop rents. we booked a private double room with ensuite. the size is 'cute', but most importantly it's clean and comfortable. we felt safe. the view from the hostel was just some other random buildings, macam dalam movie pon ade..
our hostel was in Causeway Bay, great location, just few minutes walk to the MTR station.
