life and living..

i quoted Maya Angelou last night..

I've learned that making a 'living' is not the same thing as 'making a life'

 but i somehow was knocked by my friend who quoted Churchill..

we make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give..

there's so much negativities in the first quote, and i hate myself for that..
but i guess in my career, i should hold onto Churchill's quote tighter.. the meaning is so deep..

but what have i done and gave?
think again, it came back to the question of  'our niat'..
so many things to ponder and muhasabah..
