The Hong Kong - The Tour

much delayed entry due to the need to be perfect

but of course it'll never be..

1. The Flight

as mentioned before, it was an impromptu holiday, we bought the ticket just one week before the trip, so i guess it's not the most economical deal we could get. the flight was at 8.30am..but we reached LCCT waay earlier, so i spent the time waiting with reading and Paih spent the time playing CandyCrush! it was soo relaxing..knowing that you'll be as free as a bird in the next few days...yes we both felt like something lifted up from our shoulder..

2. The Arrival

as usual, arriving at the destination could be so exhilirating..we could not stop 'omaigod omaigod omaigod' (WE means I..hehehe). as expected, the weather was sweater-requiring.. fuuhh nasib baik sejuk..if not, we've wasted unnecessary pre-holiday shoppings! The airport was huge.. 

3. The Train, The Bus and The Tram et al

if i would say a word for Hong Kong's public transport, it would be PERFECT! at least perfect for our trip. reliable and easy peasy even for newbies like us..and of course NOT EXPENSIVE at all!! we've never need to wait more than 3 minutes for any of them throughout the 3 days stay, seriously! 

for anyone going to Hong Kong, Octopus Card isnt a bad idea.. initially i thought i would give them a pass because 3 days je pon....tak perlu la kad mcm touch&go beria-ria kan.. but i'm glad i've searched around and never i found people discouraging the usage of it.. 

we bought the card at the airport ticketing counter, the minimum is HK$150(~RM65). the value in the card will be HK$100 because HK$50 will be considered as refundable deposit. so dengan card ini kami tidak perlu risau untuk beli ticket train - kene fikir exact station untuk stop and everything kan. we just need to swipe dekat station je, and if we've changed our mind about the stopping station, no worries about the ticket kan.. the card can also be used as various convenience store including their supermarket and 7eleven!

 4. The Hostel
in general, Hong Kong is super expensive city. we read somewhere on the net that our hostel area had the most expensive rental rates in the world, i mean their house and shop rents. we booked a private double room with ensuite. the size is 'cute', but most importantly it's clean and comfortable. we felt safe. the view from the hostel was just some other random buildings, macam dalam movie pon ade..
our hostel was in Causeway Bay, great location, just few minutes walk to the MTR station.

and of course we are totally excited!

dah mula memikirkan majlis akan datang..

sebenarnya banyak sgt lagi gambar yang menarik rasa ingin dikongsi bersama especially gambar di Pantai Teluk Cempedak..tapi takpela, di facebook sudah memadai..

Hong Kong : The Plannings

why Hong Kong?

no exact reasons, tapi memang sentiasa ada dalam wishlist..

this is fun! planning in less than a week!!

some people prefer more spontaneous holiday - go with the flow type

kalaui ni kaya raya maybe i suka macam tu gak kot

but when going to somewhere costly, and limited time, i prefer to have all planned out

i tanak ade wasted time going back and forth places unnecessarily

the 1st step is i Googled the main attractions yang people will always talk about

Trip Advisor was the greatest help in everything - especially when people shared their honest opinion and experiences..

after i listed down the main attractions, i searched them one by one

i highlighted the main thing - location and cost of course!

 then i roughly put all the places on the map and compare to sort out the sequence

yes i was very detailed

up to the point i have all the exact timings of the train and the MTR fares

(the mobile app helped a lot!)

seriously Hong Kong is very tourism-friendly place

their instructions were mostly very detailed that even includes the exit at the train station

 this is the snapshot of my itineraries

bukanla i akan inflexible atau too rigid

at least as a guide je so that i can expect what's next

 this is the lists of Halal food outlets in Hong Kong

i aimed the meal times to be around the places yang ade Halal food

(apart from membawa bekal buns and Maggi untuk standby)

so where did we stay?

one of the blogger that i've been following for years had a trip to Hong Kong few years back

they had a great stay at this one hostel

and all the websites pon had great reviews on this particular hostel

but unfortunately within such a short notice, they are all booked out

went through Hostel World as suggested, and i shortlisted the reasonable options

thinks to consider - location, ensuite, cleanliness, and of course PRICE!

Hong Kong memang generally mahal untuk apa sahaja

so cukupla untuk duduk hostel sahaja kan

because this is not the trip yang we need to stay in the room menikmati suasana pantai ke ape kan

hanya memerlukan a place untuk letak barang and tidur malam sahaja

so finally i dengan berdebar-debar decided on this hostel

Comfort Hostel Hong Kong, Causeway Bay

 seriously! tak menyesal memilih hostel tersebut

as the review said, great location

sangat dekat dengan MTR station

and ade supermarket kat depan tu yg 24 hours open (untuk beli anything - drinks or ape2 je la)

as they all said, Causeway Bay ni adelah tempat shopping

huhuhu as mentioned in previous entry, nope i didnt buy anything!

ni baru part planning

but it's the biggest part of any trips

tapi kerana saya terlalu fokus terhadap perjalanan, 

ada few things la termissed - about packing

*didnt bring towel okayh, lupe plak kalau bukan hotel maybe takde towel

*food yang dibawak tu tak variety - should have bawak more snacks - sebab sangat sejuk so sentiasa rasa nak mengunyah - beli biskut kat sana so mahal  

*bawak maggi tapi lupe nak fikir about bowls/spoons - end up spent duit dollar beli mangkuk plastik and sudu sebab malam2 nak makan maggi sebelum tido

*air mineral pon should bawak sebab luggage kosong je - air mineral sane ~HK$8-11 sebotol - terpaksa beli jugak

i woke up and received this message this morning..hihihi...sebab semalam buat transaction yang jarang-jarang dibuat kot...

Lepaskan perasaan sebab tak kesampaian shopping kat Hong Kong, so last night grabbed 2 terus!! Kikiki

Okayh... The short trip was great..no..not just great, it was fabulous!!

But i planned to write all the details of the plan and the journey so it'll be in a while because need to transfer the pics from the camera first..

Impromptu!!

I'm sooooo excited.. Paih surprised me by buying a return ticket to HONG KONG..omg!!! Soo many things to plan... I've installed few mobile app..and so far it helped a lot..because i'm the kind that will make a very detailed itineraries that includes the prices and evrything..

Today was spent walking around thinking how to reward myself for being strong enduring the loneliness (overr la kan!)..kikiki..
I terliurr nak beli covered cake stand...tapi berfikir dua tiga kali kerana dapur sekarang tak cantik pon kan... So insyaAllah one day...

Then we went wasting our money doing things that guys wont understand why.. Manicure and Pedicure!


I shouldnt have clipped my nails last week...so the girl couldnt really make a nice shape just now...it's too short already..

New new new year!!

I celebrated 1st of January not because i celebrated new year..but i celebrated the wonderful years of memories we had..
(it's already the 3rd, but still wanna write about the 1st January...hmmm delayed entry)
In previous years, we would plan for some sort of short trips on the date...but, this year the plan is just to do something small but nice...like going for an ice cream or take a sweet photos together... And again we did neither of them.. The time just went so fast...

And i rarely wanna take any photos nowadays.. Could not even stand looking at my own reflections in the mirror... I'm fat fat fat again!!! Not that i ever became slim recently but at least i lost few kilos... But then i gained them back because the sleepless nights and restless days make it excusable for me to savour all the carbs and unhealthy foods..

Oh coming back to what i did on the new year.. A lot actually!! Family time!! Umar spent the new year's eve at our place...rearranging the new IKEA stuffs...

Umar is super excited,about everything...

And i just bought another RAST drawer. .. RM99 je!! We had the first one when we moved into this house, then i thought the second one would make it a pair and looked better...but i didnt notice the wood changed its colour over time..

The new year's evening was spent with Duyans!!! It was sooo yummy and i think i'm literally drooling now...






We tried the famous Musang King..but i think D24 is much better kot..
U should not start eating Duyan if u dont want to be stuck.... Maybe few more durian kampung wont harm this weekend (would not want to spend hundreds of ringgit on Durian again)..

So in short..the day passed by without us taking any couple photo..i regret it now, but even i take any, i would not want them to be seen by human beings...puffy!

Nevertheless... Happy 1st January Sayang!!! i love u sooooo much... And we did spend the whole day reminsicing what we did 6 years ago kan... We retold the stories of how we 'mengejar matahari terbit..the 1st sunrise of the year 2008..then we went to Jenja...saikou no koi...then we went to Tokyo tower'..

May the coming years are full with tell-able stories :)
